Our natural history workshops are taught by recognized experts in their respective fields and are designed to provide an opportunity for an intensive learning experience for serious amateur naturalists. Participants should be reasonably fit and able to hike to field sites over fairly challenging terrain. Friday and Saturday evenings are spent in the classroom, while Saturday and Sunday are full field days. Learning continues over meals, which are taken together. Arrival is Friday evening and departure is late Sunday afternoon. All workshops are strictly limited to ten participants.

Workshops are for adults only unless otherwise specified.

Most workshops are conducted primarily out of doors, so be prepared for any kind of weather. Appropriate footwear is recommended, and participants are required to assume all attendant risks. Bring a bathing suit for swimming in our spring-fed pond.

Work-study is available for college or graduate students; please inquire.

Sorry, no pets; our dogs Max and Laika are friendly but can be territorial at times. There is no smoking allowed on the premises.
